There is a huge variety of shore dives available on both sides of False Bay. We explore shore dives from Rooi Els, Clarence Drive, and Gordon's Bay on the Eastern side of the bay to Simon's Town and surrounds on the Western side of the bay. This area has impressive kelp forests that provide a unique ecosystem for a multitude of species as well as vibrant reefs that is an absolute pleasure to explore. We often encounter Cape Fur seals on our shore dives, large Short-tail Stingrays, small sharks and the odd Sunfish (Mola Mola).
Photographers often prefer shallow shore dives due to the better light available and longer dive times. Shore diving also suits less experienced and confident divers.
