PADI Specialty Diver

Scuba diving is a way to explore the underwater world in new and different ways. PADI Specialty Diver courses teach you new techniques and give you the tools to enhance your exploration.

Enriched Air Diver Specialty (Nitrox)

The most popular specialty course. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives. If staying down longer and getting back in the water sooner sounds appealing, then don’t hesitate to become an enriched air diver.

Deep Diver Specialty

Explore deeper dive sites with confidence at depths down to 40 metres. Learn to manage your gas supply, go over buddy contact procedures, and buoyancy control.

Underwater Navigator Specialty

Be the scuba diver everyone wants to follow because you know where you are and where you’re going. The Underwater Navigator course fine-tunes your observation skills and teaches you to more accurately use your compass underwater. If you like challenges with big rewards, take this course and have fun finding your way.

Night Diver Specialty

The thought of dipping below the surface at night seems mysterious, yet so alluring. Although you’ve been scuba diving at a site many times before, at night you drop into a whole new world and watch it come to life under the glow of your dive light. The scene changes as day creatures retire and nocturnal organisms emerge. If you’ve wondered what happens underwater after the sun goes down, sign up for the Night Diver Specialty course.

Wreck Diver Specialty

Ships, aeroplanes and even cars are fascinating to explore and usually teem with aquatic life. Each wreck dive offers a chance for a new discovery. Whether purpose-sunk as an artificial reef for scuba divers, or lost as the result of an accident, wrecks are fascinating windows to the past.

Peak Performance Buoyancy

Excellent buoyancy control is what defines skilled scuba divers. You’ve seen them underwater. They glide effortlessly, use less air and ascend, descend or hover almost as if by thought. They more easily observe aquatic life without disturbing their surroundings. You can achieve this, too.

Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ#1

What is the age limits?

In most regions, the minimum age is 10 years old, however in some areas, local law may require a higher minimum age limit. Young participants need the approval and support of their parent or guardian. There is no upper age limit. To dive, you must be in good overall health, particularly your respiratory and circulatory systems. Mentally, you need a mature attitude, good judgement and the self-discipline to follow diving guidelines.
FAQ#26

What about my ears?

Your ears will not be a problem, assuming you have no irregularities in your ears and sinuses. The discomfort is the normal effect of water pressure pressing on your eardrums. Fortunately, our bodies are designed to adjust to pressure changes in our surroundings – you just need to learn how. If you have no difficulties adjusting to air pressure when flying, you'll most likely experience no problems learning to adjust to water pressure while diving.
FAQ#24

I'm not a great swimmer?

Some swimming ability is required. You need to have basic swim skills and be able to comfortably maintain yourself in the water, but you do not have to be a great or even good swimmer. Your PADI Instructor will assess this.
FAQ#2

Is diving risky?

Diving does present some inherent risks. You can reduce your chances of having problems while diving by following basic safety rules and learning simple skills. Your dive professional takes precautions, uses experience and exercises good judgement to help keep you as safe as possible. People dive safely every day. However, any time people are in the water and are breathing compressed gas underwater, there is the potential for problems to occur.
