If you’ve always wanted to take scuba diving lessons, experience unparalleled adventure, and see the world beneath the waves, this is where it starts. To enrol in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older.

What to expect:

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

Knowledge Development (online, independent study, or in a classroom) to understand the basic principles of scuba diving.
Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills.
Open Water Dives to use your skills and explore!

Open water Manual (e-Learning)
eLogbook
All required equipment for the duration of the course
Cylinder rental
DAN dive insurance for the duration of the course
Light lunch (with sea dives)
4x Theory Sessions (if required)
1x Project Aware briefing
5x Pool Sessions
5x Sea Dives
PADI registration

Prerequisites:

Minimum age of 10 years old.
A medical statement by a licensed physician stating that you are medically fit to scuba dive.
Recent ID photo (required for training record).
Full payment is required before the commencement of the course.

Aim of the Course:

Just Africa Scuba aims to train confident divers who are safety aware.
Divers are trained to plan and execute open-water dives competently.
We focus on personalised attention.
The maximum diving depth is 18m.

Knowledge Development

The knowledge development portion of the course is designed so you can learn at your own pace and when it's convenient for you. Complete your eLearning online.

Step 02

Confined Water Dives

Develop and practice your scuba skills in a pool or water with pool-like conditions under direct instructor supervision. As you learn new skills, you’ll build the abilities and confidence needed for diving in open water, such as in a lake or the ocean.

Step 03

Open Water Dives

Transfer your new scuba skills to open water and start diving. As soon as your open water training dives are approved by your instructor you will be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, enabling you to embark on unforgettable adventures.
