Do you want to make scuba diving your career? Then you're probably looking for a Dive Center to get you there. Here is why it's super beneficial to be trained in Cape Town waters with Just Africa Scuba.
Here are 10 Reasons to Become an Instructor in Cape Town.
1. Diversity of False Bay
In Cape Town, you'll find endless underwater creatures big and small. From sandy bottoms to rocky reefs. Wrecks scattered on the ocean floor and majestic Kelp Forests dance with the sway of the ocean providing a home for sharks, rays, octopuses, shoals of fish, different crustaceans and so much more. Warm water currents sometimes bring us interesting visitors from tropical areas such as sea turtles in the kelp forest and pineapple fish on our rocky reefs! The diversity is amazing.
Home of the Cape Fur Seal and visiting Humpback Whales with their calves annually migrating through our Bay, pods of dolphins and sea otters, there is rarely a dull moment when diving Cape Town. The macro life is astonishing with a large amount of unique nudibranch species to be found here.

2. Expertise & Mentoring
Just Africa Scuba has a dynamic team with combined skills, experience and expertise to assist and inspire you to become the best version of yourself. You will be learning and growing in a mentor relationship.
Why is this important? You are not left to your own devices but have access to people who are willing to support and lead you into your new career. We create a safe space for our students to grow and develop their skills.
3. Quality Divers & Dive Skills
Dive Conditions
Being trained in the Cape conditions ensures that divers are well-trained and used to less-than-ideal dive conditions. The nutrient-rich deepwater upwellings that sustain the amazing biodiversity here also bring cold and often low-visibility water. I guess we can't have it all.
We do have amazing water conditions with visibility ranging from 5 to 15 meters, but coldwater diving is not the same as diving in the ever-so-clear waters of tropical locations.
Diving in limited visibility teaches divers to become mentally strong and resilient. This coupled with cold and often times surgy water ensures that we train well-equipped divers and dive instructors.
Why is this important? Because a strong-minded diver will be able to dive anywhere in the world. As a future Divemaster or Instructor, you will be able to manage challenging dive conditions very well.
PADI Courses
We pay special attention to all the courses that we present to you, going the extra mile and giving you more. Courses are done in-depth from the very start, this ensures that you are well-trained and competent with the skills and theory.
Why is this important? This will help you to be properly prepared when it's time for your IDC (Instructor Development Course) and IE (Instructor Exams) at the end of your Career Development Program.
